Hands-Free Driving for a Hands-On Life: How Do You Connect?

Life is busy, and it can be a real struggle to slow down. In 2023, drivers in the U.S. reported spending around one hour in the car and driving nearly 30 miles each day, according to a AAA study. In my own life, amid our busy workdays, my wife and I are constantly coordinating schedules and shuffling the kids in the car to and from school and various activities.

With a busy, hands-on life, when customers get in their Ford or Lincoln to go about their day-to-day tasks or to take a long trip, BlueCruise1  hands-free highway driving can ultimately help give them more energy and create more connections with those around them.

Connecting with my kids in the car is the best part of any drive (they’re forced to talk to me). When we hit the highway to various soccer tournaments or to our favorite local hikes, I engage BlueCruise and am able to talk to them about school and friends, play our favorite car geography game, or open up granola bars, all while keeping my eyes on the road. These are precious moments because I know they will only enjoy hanging out with me for so long.

I am not the only one logging lots of hours in the car. In 2024, customers spent 2 million hours using BlueCruise hands-free highway driving. This was up 33% over the previous year.2

We expect this number to increase in 2025 as we expand the availability of BlueCruise across additional 2025 model year vehicles and trims to give more customers who want an electric, hybrid or gas-powered Ford vehicle access to hands-free highway driving.

We want to hear from customers and how you are using BlueCruise to connect with others. Share your stories with us via #BlueCruise.
